On a beautiful sunny Opening Day, “thunder” struck on the Copeland softball field as Laura Kenny (EBS Healthcare Thunder Bolts) turned in the season’s first unassisted triple play against West Side’s arch rival Caln.  In the bottom on the second inning, Laura was playing 3rd base with the bases loaded and no outs.  Caln’s leading hitter smoked a line drive that Laura adeptly snared out of the air for the first out.   As the runner’s were moving on the play, Laura quickly stepped on 3rd base for the second out, then turned around and (to everyone’s surprised) tagged the Caln runner coming from 2nd base for the third out.  Way to go Laura!!!
